I worked with Jana from this funeral home when my son died and she was just amazing. They are fantastic people, caring, and compassionate!

Campbell Dean handled the funeral for my father, Dr. James Brod, and our family could not have been more pleased with the entire process and the services provided. Jim Dean and his staff made a very difficult time bearable for our family. They took care of details that we never thought of and handled things with the utmost professionalism and compassion. Thank you for being there for our family.

Overall a high-cost, low-value product.

In November of last year (2016) I lost my best friend and sister who stoically battled pancreatic cancer for over 18 months. Unfortunately, her disease took her away from us.

When we lose a loved one even if you have had time to prepare for their departure, the emotional pain can be overwhelming.

This is when you need an excellent Funeral Home to ease the stress, and pain you are going through.

Any needs we had as a family were immediately taken care of. Campbell-Dean did an outstanding job and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs funeral services. The memorial cards were outstanding they provided and were truly touching. They set up and arranged the flowers and memorials to our exact wishes and even made helpful suggestions that only enhanced the memorial service. They provided private locations and settings for a duet and guitar remembrance to be practiced prior to the service. It was truly amazing! All Campbell-Dean’s attention to our needs to prepare for the service were exceptional. I cannot thank Campbell-Dean Funeral home enough for making our family's difficult day one we were able to endure a bit more palatable. THANK YOU, CAMPBELL-DEAN FUNERAL HOME, for being there in our community when the time comes we need to remember those we love who pass on.

Grief can be one of the most trying times in our lives.

I cannot begin to say and praise enough how wonderful Campbell-Dean Funeral Home stepped in and helped our family through such a trying time. From the moment you entered the parlor and viewed the memorial to my sister that was so professionally set up, you could not help but think what an awesome tribute it was to my sister’s life.

The service is overpriced (almost double the competition) and not sufficiently professional; funeral director there ignored specific and repeated requests made by the family and desired by the deceased. The body was not prepared to a good standard.

Sadly a long business history does not always equate to quality. Marion Dean built a first class business, which is no longer evident today. You first notice the deterioration before you even enter the building, the rotting columns at the front door. Once inside you see, a poorly maintained interior and old worn out furniture. The quality of the deceased presentation is appalling, the last time and I mean the "last time" that my family used this firm my father looked like a clown. The cosmetic application was terrible, in his hair and his lips red like a lady with lipstick. For the extortionate prices this place charges, one would expect first rate service and environment. Thankfully , there are other option for people in the central NY area.

This funeral home comes recommended as the better choice in town for your after life care.

I know if she would have been standing right there herself that day she would have been beaming with smiles as to the attention to detail and presentation Campbell-Dean took to make that difficult day one of beauty in our sadness.

The historic building is decidedly impressive but the structural alterations are hardly in keeping with the design principles of the period. The layout does not flow well. The reception (a section that seems to have been added on) room is divided awkwardly and decorated with tacky reproduction paintings from random periods and styles. The shaggy pile carpet and low-end antiques do nothing to improve the drab feeling. The ghastly red velvet drapes appear to be in need of a little dusting off. In need of an updating.
